I was going to skip this night and rest up for my trip to the Oregon Star Party on Wednesday, but I woke up just before 3am and decided to go outside for some fresh air. There weren't any clouds this morning, but during the 1.25 hours I watched Perseid activity was actually a bit lower than the previous morning after correction for conditions. Sporadic rates did show an increase (but who can tell anything from such a small time sample?) The highlight was a beautiful -3 Perseid with a violet tinge and a 10-second train.

Guess I'll skip Wednesday morning instead. Off to OSP for the peak!
