(meteorobs) Pre-max Perseids from Ottawa, On...

Hi all,

Just a quick note to say I was able to get some observing in this 
morning (Aug 10/11) from a dark sky site...

The Perseids were pretty active.  Not really many bright meteors, lots 
of faint stuff.  Seemed to be some lulls of inactivity for several 
minutes followed by a few quick bursts.  Saw a few nice Kappa Cygnids.

I won't have time to post a complete report till tomorrow.  The 
forecast for tonight's peak is not looking good, but I'll be heading 
out shortly to chase sucker holes.  I hope to be lucky.
