Hi!
I have just woken up after having observed last night from 21:30 to
2:30 UT.
We saw 294 meteors during that time, most of which were of course
Perseids. Conditions were not perfect, lm maybe 5,5 at its best -
still this means about one meteor per minute on average. There are
periods with Perseid activity of about 2/min = 120/hour (e.g. around
2 UT). Taken into account the limiting magnitude and the sub-zenithal
radiant height this should give ZHRs of over 200 - more than one
should expect even from the "normal" Perseid maximum tonight.
I'm now starting work on the report form. Hope to hear more
impressions from all of you.
Clear Skies
Daniel
