(meteorobs) Perseids from Louisiana

Unfortunately the Perseids were pretty much a washout for me in South
Louisiana.  The predawn skies were very hazy with limiting magnitudes that
varied from 5 to 2.5 and back over periods of 10 minutes or so, and half the
sky was covered by low clouds.  Ultimately it became completely overcast.

Sigh.  I haven't had a decent night for a major shower for a year or more.
Maybe the Orionids....

At least I didn't have a hurricane to deal with.  Good luck to everyone in
Florida!
