Comments -
I recorded by hand, on large legal pad without looking down. I noted 5
of the sporadics as being from NE Cygnus, being swift and 4 of
them appearing in sets of 2 within 90 seconds of each other. I noted
one long track sporadic from Ursa Major this nite, 3 in 1:36 the
following nite, 2 of them in the early eve., all fairly slow and distinctive.
Nothing dramatic on the counts but high considering the low altitude
of the radiant in the midnite-ish timeframe. Clumpy as usual on the
Perseids, I had two sets of nearly simultaneous Perseids. My daughter
Ashley had 28 meteors, incl. 1 Lacertid and the Alpha Capricornid from
0125-0210 am herself. Perseids earned back some respect after a
couple off years in my opinion, sure were a bunch of nice +1 to 0 mag class
meteors this return.
