It was mostly to completely clear for the night of August 11/12 at the Oregon Star Party east of Prineville, OR. Some thin, high clouds did drop the limiting magnitude a bit from the 7+ of a really decent night there. Perseids were very numerous, but mostly lacking in bright meteors. My only fireball was a -4 during a casual count early in the night. I started counting at 6:00 UT (23:00 local time) and was really excited by the 79 Perseids in my first hour. Things got better. My peak interval came from 9:22-10:24 UT, with 127 Perseids. Over 5.00 hours of Teff, I recorded 538 Perseids and 102 other meteors. Will do 15-minuted intervals when I get a chance. A really enjoyable night, making up a bit for the clouds that would mar much of the star party.
