(meteorobs) many early GEMs from SoCal

Hi all

Just returned home from a bountiful session... Bob Lunsford and I observed from one of our usual spots in the San Diego mountains and we were both surprised at the high level of activity so early before the peak... I will post my formal obs after getting some sleep... there were many many Geminids... seemed like an unusual amount of dim Geminids

The highlight was an an absolutely gorgeous long -8 Geminid fireball appearing directly overhead.
