Sunday night I had to drive to the mountains as it was cloudy again in the
lowlands. After about an hour drive I stopped at Kisovec in the Alps. The
skies were very clear again. As soon as I arrived I could see the comet
C/2004 Q2 (Machholz) in the constellation of Eridanus with the naked eye.
The high activity was evident while I was setting up - I saw maybe two
dozens od meteors in a few minutes.
In 2.4 hours of observations I recorded 227 meteors, most were the
Geminids. The Geminid rate was at 83 GEM/h in the second period. Sporadic
numbers were quite high also. After three consecutive nights of
observations I am still waiting to see a fireball.

Clear skies!
Javor
