Now that Kiddies are in bed and sleeping, I can do my report for my
Geminid Observing Session from last night (13/14 DEC).

Mainly looked through large holes in the clouds, casually, from my
Backyard Patio in Amherst County, Virginia (37-26N/079-07W), for about
the first 45 minutes of observing, while the clouds cleared. I saw the
following meteors:

0247 UT Gem 2.0 Yellow
0308 Gem 3.0
0314 Spor 4.0
0315 Gem 0.0 Green
0320 Gem 3.0
0322 Gem 2.0 Blue
0324 Spor 5.0
0328 Gem -1 Yellow
0329 Gem 0.0 Yellow

0330 - 0335 UT was Dead Time while setting up in the back of Pickup Truck
and trekking out to the middle of Backyard Field. Five Minute Bins as
follows:

>From 0335-0710 UT I observed under skies of LM 6.2 with slight cloud
cover (only 25-30% obscured), which allowed me to look to the clear
portions of the sky with not too much difficulty. Air Temperatures were
indeed below freezing and with a steady breeze that gusted a few times
above 15 knots. By the time I crawled back into bed around 0230 EST, I
felt like a popsicle (even my Wife Suzannah commented on how cold I
felt)! All in all, this was a very enjoyable night that seemed
reminiscent of some of my Geminid sessions from days gone by (late 70's
in Southern Florida)!!
