A related question: the extra Perseid peak of the 1990's shifted in time 
compared to the "normal" peak ( see figure 4 at 
http://www.imo.net/articles/shower/per9596.html ). Who can help my "mental 
picture of meteor stream dynamics" to understand this? :-)
