 Subject: [RASCals] meteors?

Hi Scott,
Just checking out the list to see if anyone else saw it. Five or six
bright, slow moving meteors ? tracking from the northwest to southeast. I
was at a BBQ near Port Dover.

towards
Sagittarius a group of meteors passed west to east at a very low angle. I
was able to observe them through about 45 degrees. They were travelling
very
slowly, slowly enough, that I was able to aim my scope and get a
reasonable
look. Then I was able to move to watch their final fade out after they
went behind some trees.

Through the eyepiece I counted at least seven separate objects, although
there was one that was much larger and brighter than all the others. It
left a long bright tail, that was several degrees long. Truly
spectacular. Did anyone else see it?
