Here is an article that was in this mornings paper on the Fireball from
Tulsa.
.......UNIDENTIFIED OBJECT LIGHTS UP THE SKY.............
"A large falling object streaked across the sky Wednesday night,
prompting numerous calls from concerned residents to emergency
officials. No debris or crash site was located Wednesday night, but
sightings of the phenomenon were reported across Tulsa and parts of
south-central United States, officials said. The National Weather
Service said it received numerous reports of a fireball in the sky about
9:30p.m. After discussion with the Department of Homeland Security's
Federal Emergency Management Agency, the weather service said what
residents saw likely was a large meteor. John Clabes, a regional
spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration said no missing
aircraft in the area were reported. In Tulsa, John Southern said, he
was driving near US75 and 65th St. when he saw what he thought was an
airplane on fire. It looked like an airplane going down in flames
really hard and fast----or space debris, said Southern a freelance
photographer. It was coming from a southwesternly direction. When he
got a closer look he saw that the object had a definite central mass but
wasn't spread out like an airplane. This was just like a blob, Southern
said. I wouldn't say it was a UFO, but I don't know. I thought surely
something had happened. Southern said the object flew to the southeast
before he lost sight of it. It was just a flash in the pan. It was
over in about three seconds, he said."....................

There was also word from local press in Shreveport,
Louisiana [Times, http://www.shreveporttimes.com/],
that residents there may have noted this fireball.
No other reports have come into NAMN yet, however.
>From what can be gleaned of these two reports, it
appears the fireball was about magnitude -12(?),
and so quite splendidly bright. Can anyone check
to see if this is a possible "space junk" reentry?
Clear skies!
