(meteorobs) Why do some meteors appear to zig-zag?

Are there details of the photographic method given? An often seen error with
novice meteor photographers who use a rotating shutter for the first time,
is that the shutter and the camera are not well-isolated from each other,
causing the camera to vibrate due to the shutter motor. This creates very
nice sinuous meteor trails, which however are not real but
equipment-induced.
