ODE LOOKING METEORS - by Ed, between the lines
 I have been watching meteors
 for many a year but, lo,
 often I see one that just
 doesn't look quite so.

 I've noticed ones that do appear,
 as  a "normal meteor" but
'stead of the nice straight streak
 these just seem to "fizzle out"

{ like a fireworks. They appear to start " upward" and finish their burn heading "down". Based on this it cant be something that was "earth launched" such as fireworks, model rockets etc. The " meteor " does not start out like a normal one then tend to break up but seems to fizzle from the start of it's appearance.}

  I've ne'er seen one like this so high
  most are less half up the 'izon.
  I've ne'er heard sound when they appear,
  their distance - no surmisin'

  I dinna ken this, but
  Your sense is warmly sought.
  An answer would be well recieved,
  This mystery to be wrought.

  Thanks, Ed - your msg Mused me greatly (or mebbe weakly ;) ) - i hope you get a better reply than this
