I wonder if captain cook called it 'Transit Eve too', all those years
ago!  :)

Weather for England (UK) looks to be perfect, maybe a little low fog
early on in some coastal area's but in this heat, it should burn off
pretty quick and Scotland may have a few clouds (Nothing new there!) 

For once it looks good for The UK...
 
My software gives the start as 05:19:42 UTC (and that's for N50  0.1W)
it will be interesting to time 'first contact' and see if the
predictions are right!
