Bamm,

May I suggest you try to get your observations published in the local paper? 
For the first few articles I would state you intent and hopefully this might 
catch the eye of other potential observers. Once you have a few observers 
you can personally train them to use the IMO standards and then share the 
data with such groups as the Global Meteor Observing Forum and the 
International Meteor Organization.
