(meteorobs) two comets

Hello.

Maybe some offtopic...
The newly opened comet C/2004 R2 (ASAS) has to pass very close to the
Sun on 7-8 October. Its brightness should be about 2-3 mag and it will
be visible on SOHO images of near-solar space.
And the second comet, C/2003 K4 in the first days of October also will
have very small elongation of about 2 degrees. It is not solar graser,
its perihelion distance is 1.02 a.e., but it will be placed almost
exactly behind Sun respecting the Earth. The comet will have 5.2 mag
and maybe will be also visible on near-solar images. So there is the
possibility of two comets simultaneously present on SOHO images.

Best regards, Mikhail Maslov
