We had variable clouds for most of the night, but I was able to get in two
good hours of Perseid observing. From 6:50 to 8:50 UT I was able to see 81
Perseids with a 6.1 average LM sky that was 5% cloudy. The best meteors were
a -4 magnitude Perseid seen at 6:50 UT, and a -3 Perseid with a 9 second train
seen at 8:20 UT. It was also somewhat hazy, but the transparency was generally
fair to good. This is the best Perseid maximum I have seen since the year 2000.
