I have always wondered if meteor lulls are widespread or geographically quite
limited. I was observing NE of Uniontown, Kansas (37˚53'33" N, 94˚56'04"
W) during the same period (8/12 UT) and saw 4 Perseids (8:40, 8:42, 8:44, and
8:45 UT) and 2 sporadics (8:39 and 8:40 UT). I was observing with Paul
Martsching, and he probably saw more during this period since he is such a talented
and skilled observer.
