Hello,
An observation on 13 August. This is the single night when the weather
permitted me to make somewhat normal observation.
I got the impression, that during it Perseid activity significantly
decreased. It was quite high in the first half-hour, and
then unstable decline began, with occasional rebursts. Average
brightness of meteors was also going down. As a whole, this year
I didn't see extrememly bright Perseids, max. brigtness had two -4
meteors. Also, I think its a distinctive feature of Perseids,
their members show the tendency to appear in groups of two-three
meteors during several seconds, divided by breaks up to ten minutes.
At the end of observation the sky began to get fogged, so when only
Mars and some brightest stars remained visible, I had to
finish earlier the time I planned before. By the way, already through
the fog I saw an excellent sporadic, possibly a graser.
It flied from west to east, after two seconds of flight it
significantly dimmed, but on the next second brightened again.
It was flying during 8 seconds and all this time I had feeling that it
is just about to go out, but it was still visible.
