(meteorobs) Observation August 5/6, 2005 from Slovenia

Hi All,

I am back from a very successful Youth astronomical research 
camp that we held on Pohorje Mountain, Slovenia. I led a group of 
seven meteor observers, but only two of them had previous meteor 
observing experience. Despite the bad weather prospects at the 
start of the camp we had many clear nights.
The first night of the camp was clear and I managed to observe for 
4.5 hours. Of the 101 meteors seen, 33 were Perseids. Two 
Perseid fireballs were seen. The fist was a magnitude -3 with a 3-
second train and the second was a magnitude -4 with a 12-second 
train that shot into Ursa major.
