Perhaps you are asking, "How close to the radiant could a shower member  
appear?" If so...A meteor could appear all the way from the radiant  itself. But 
the closer to the radiant they do appear, the shorter in path  length they will 
be. The exception will be bright fireballs, that will last a  little longer 
before burning up...thus appear to travel a little further than  the dimmer 
meteors.
