(meteorobs) Meteor observing request.

Hello all,

Kim Youmans suggested I post my request to your list, as many of you
may be interested.

I will be conducting two scientific survey studies soon:  one will
deal with meteor observing, and the other will deal with auroral
observing.  Specifically, I am looking for people who will be
observing either the Perseid meteor shower (or other upcoming showers
or random meteors) this year and/or people who plan to observe any
aurorae in the next couple of months.

My report/article based on the information from my surveys should
determine, with a good degree of accuracy, whether or not a perception
theory I have is correct.  I expect the results to be intriguing, and
I plan to publish them in a scientific journal as well as an
astronomy-related magazine.

If you would like to participate in one or both studies, that would be
wonderful.  If you could pass along my request here to people you
think would be interested in participating in one or both studies, I
would also greatly appreciate it!

If interested, please e-mail me back and state:
- which (or both) of the surveys you would like to take.  I will send
it/them to you immediately.
- that you agree you will not share the survey with anyone else AND
you will not discuss the subject matter / questions on the survey with
anyone else until my study is complete.  (I will definitely e-mail the
participants and let them know when it is complete.)  This
non-disclosure is for theoretically accurate, uninfluenced, scientific
purposes.
