Have you ever had a well devised and apparently
workable plan, and that everything seemed OK with it?
Then a small glitch occurs. Not to worry, everything
is still OK! Then that glitch causes another one,
which starts a cascade of glitches, and the great plan
begins to teeter and then collapse with increasing
speed until it is a pile of rubble on the ground?
Well, that's what happened to my intention to observe
the Perseids for five hours on the morning of August
12, and I was finally left with a half hour of
twilight just before dawn. I have gotten over it
enough that I can write this report now.
