Remarks
Third night of the expedition. Main maximum. Good observing conditions : LM 6.90, dry air. The Perseid activity started slowly, there were no many earth grazing Perseids in the beginning. After 01 UT activity really exploded, so the Perseids definitely gave us a good show, but not as spectacular as 2004. Many weak meteors this year. I've got a hourly count of 112 Perseids between 1.30 and 2.30 UT. After 2.30 UT the activity decreased. Two famous fireballs ; a minus 8 and...one minus -12 (or brighter ??) ; she was so powerful that the whole field and surroundings came visible as it was daylight...
