(meteorobs) Geminids Obs (near peak Dec 13-14) from SF Bay area CA.

The last few days have been pretty cloudy, but the weather reports hinted at a partial clearing for the Geminids peak evening here in the San Francisco bay area, so I ventured out onto my deck to check. Conditions about as poor as possible for any kind of official counting, LM's in the low 4's and worsening, but I gave it a shot! Nearly full moon coupled with varying degrees of high cloudiness made LM estimation difficult and prevented seeing much, but for the brighter meteors. Still it was nice to see some activity under these terrible conditions, with a number of fine Geminids, by far the most numerous species. So, under the circumstances, I can conclude the Geminids exhibited a decent ZHR around this time period.
