(meteorobs) Absence of Ursids from East GA 12- 22/23-05

I saw no Ursids during a two hour watch before moonrise Thursday evening.  Meteor activity was slow (as expected that early at night) with only seven seen, including an ANT and, just as the watch ended, a -5 fireball that was distinctly yellow.

The Ursid radiant never got above roughly 15 degrees elevation and this may have been a contributing factor to their noticeable absence.  I faced north during the watch, and hope to have the report ready to post later tonight.

Here's hoping others who observed closer to the peak had better luck...
