(meteorobs) Fwd: An Explosion on the Moon

Dear Arlene, According to many Apollo astronauts, moondust smells like 
spent gunpowder.  The exact reason for the smell is unknown. This will be 
the topic of a Science at NASA story in early January.  Regards, Tony
