November 2004, I spent the weekend at the Padre Island National Seashore
with friends. On friday night, we watched a fire on the water and with
our naked eyes could not determine wHAt we were seeing. It looked like a
ship on fire to me. After a few minutes of being entranced by this
unknown object I remembered I HAd binoculars in the truck. It was the
4th quarter moon rising in the east over the water, a fascinating image.
