Job Opening: US resident (NASA contractor)
Space Environments Engineer
Status: Regular/Full-time
BS degree in Electrical Engineering or
Physics from an accredited institution with a
minimum of 2 years experience with
meteor/dust environments in the Solar
System is required. Degrees in other
engineering or science disciplines with
applicable experience will also be
considered. Additional experience or a
Masters degree preferred. Demonstrated
proficiency with computer modeling is
required. Knowledge of computer languages
(e.g., FORTRAN, C) is required. Excellent
communication skills required. Knowledge
of meteoroid and orbital debris
environments and their interaction with
spacecraft is desired. Knowledge of meteor
radar and optical observations is a plus.
