Same in Tulsa, the only thing falling from the sky in Tulsa was rain
drops. I hope this is not a sign for the rest of 2005 concerning meteor
showers.

Subject: (meteorobs) Fogged out in East GA
I awoke at 1:30 AM and was greeted at the backdoor by a *very* thick
layer of ground fog. Hoping it was localized I drove out to my
site...slowly, as there was no visibilty in the pea soup that hid
everything from the sky above to the road ahead of me. Needless to say,
it
was a no-go at my site. Oddly, when I returned home I found my backyard
was
the least foggiest area available. Still, there was not much to see in
the
west, maybe a mag +3 sky, and even worse towards the east, where the
combination of the moonlight, city-light, and the fog made for one
horrendous white-out in that part of the sky. I observed from my
backyard
for twenty minutes or so, enough to convince me I wasn't going to see
anything. Turning to leave and facing the moon, I did see a bright
meteor
flash just below the moon. THAT was it. I took a nap until 4:00 -- the
sky
was even worse at that time so I gave up and hit the hay.
here's hoping the rest of you have had better luck!
Kim Y.
