    If you want to read a report on the 1972 observation effort see: Meteor
News, by Peter M. Millman, JRASC Vol 67, No.1 February 1972.  This should be
available on line from ADS.
    Sad that the storm did not materialize as NASA sent a CV-990 Airborne
Laboratory on a mission over the Bering Sea.  Various types of spectrographs
were on board including Gale Harvey's Maksutov units and early image
intensifier and video systems.
