Dear meteor observer, researcher and/or enthusiast,

Allow me to point out that you only have a few weeks left to enjoy the
reduced subscription fee of 120 Euro for the International Meteor
Conference (IMC) 2005. The IMC takes place in Oostmalle, Belgium from
September 15-18 inclusive, and as usual it brings together amateur and
professional meteor enthusiasts from around the world. You can save 10 Euro
by subscribing before July 1st; after this relentless deadline, registering
will cost you the full price of 130 Euro. Lodging, meals, excursion and
conference proceedings are all included in the subscription fee.

IMCs are always great fun for anyone with a real interest in meteors. There
is a daily program of lectures and posters, dealing with all branches of
meteor astronomy, plus a half-day excursion to the lovely city of Lier.
Moreover, you have ample time to talk to the many enthusiasts with similar
interests. You do not need to be an IMO member to register for, or attend,
the IMC.

As last year, IMO makes funds available to support attendance at the IMC
2005. The applications for financial support should reach the President no
later than June 20, 2005. We strongly encourage all meteor workers who want
to attend the IMC 2005, but who are prevented from doing so by financial
considerations, to apply for support.

All information regarding the IMC, including a registration form, is
available at http://www.imo.net/imc2005, as well as in the April issue of WGN.

This year, the IMC organizers have arranged an additional special Radio
Meteor School from September 10-14 inclusive, also in Oostmalle, an
extended tutorial by Russian meteor astronomer Professor Oleg Belkovich.
The cost of this additional meeting will be around 150 Euro, and those
interested must contact the organizers before July 1st. Be warned however,
as this IS NOT a course for beginners, and assumes a near-graduate level
knowledge of physics and mathematics. For those with the necessary
understanding, and a serious interest in the theory and application of
radio meteor science, this is a golden opportunity presented by a world-expert.

If you are not fully convinced yet, check out our guest lecture at
http://www.imo.net/imc2005. Certainly a must for those interested in impact
events... :-)

Finally, think of what you could do with the 10 Euro you will save by
registering early... like, buying a few drinks at the IMC :-)

So don't hesitate and join the following people who already registered:

Bastiaens Luc, Belgium
