Tuesday night I observed with Jure A from a location about 80 km
from Ljubljana. We chose it because the wind there was quite
strong, insuring us clear skies (most of Slovenia is foggy these
days).
I started observing just before 1 am local time and observed for just
over two hours Teff. I logged 43 meteors. The Northern and
Southern branch of the Taurids were about equally strong,
producing 6 and 7 meteors, respectively.
I saw two bright Taurids: a magnitude -7 in Eridanus at 01:11:17 UT
and a magnitude -8 at 02:14:12 UT near the zenith.
We also operated four cameras but apparently did not catch any of
the bright meteors. The brightest meteor of the night was nearly
recorded by one of the digital cameras (but the camera was taking
dark frame at the time ):
Clear skies!
