I am on Maui for the weekend and took advantage of the good sky conditions to check for any possible AMO early in the evening, before the moon rose high and worsened the limiting mags. Actually, a very clear dry evening, with practically no trade clouds anywhere, the entire Haleakala mountain clear from top to bottom!

I started a brief 30 minute session just after the AMO radiant rose around 10:00pm local time. In contrast to earlier in the month when many bright anthelion fireballs were seen, I saw nothing this time. In fact the entire session was devoid of any meteors, save one faint mag 5 sporadic! Very boring. Yes the gibbous moon was rising and spoiled the LM somewhat, but still the counts were well below normal.
