A brief but thrilling sighting on Oct 6, 8:08pm PST. I was watching the crescent moon sink in the west, when a meteor appeared, duration 3-4 seconds, traveling SW to NW across my field of view, ending in a splatter. Brighter than Venus. Seen through car window, estimate 3 fists elevation.
