It seems that this outburst could be caused by particles of 1953
trails ejected several months before 1953 perihelion of 21P, when the
comet was only awakening to activity. I plan to develop this vision
in the coming months, maybe with some articles.

Best regards, Mikhail Maslov

RA> An outburst of Draconid activity was observed from
RA> Asian and eastern European geographical longitudes
RA> on October 8, 2005. The activity was also observed
RA> by radar technique with highest rates at a solar
RA> longitude of 195.44 (2005 October 8, 17h UT). With
RA> a population index of r=3.0, an equivalent ZHR near
RA> 150 was derived (Campbell-Brown et al., Univ. of
RA> Western Ontario). Visual rates may be lower due to
RA> the different range of larger masses causing visual
RA> meteors.
