Glad to hear the umbrella worked out well!  I'll have to try that sometimes.
The bright moonlight simply drove me away from any thoughts of observing.
I tried observing the slightly less intense Lyrids under similar conditions
in 2000 ( I believe) and saw virtually nothing.  Since then I've avoided
such conditions like the plague!

I'm sure simply the fireballs made your observations woprth the effort!
