While setting up my scope, I noticed a shadow on the wall and a bright flash out of the corner of my eye. I turned quickly to see the terminal burst of a quite bright fireball! I estimated magnitude -9, a 30 degree path from Cetus to Piscis Austrinus. It was really breaking up, the path had voids in it! Tracing back, it could have been a Northern Taurid, but maybe a bit close to that radiant?

Also, a number of local SF bay area observers reported a large number of bright fireballs last night as well! No info on whether they were from the same radiant or not.

I filed the report with IMO. Anyone else notice this bright activity from ANT or thereabouts?
