(meteorobs) Observation July 21/22, 2006 from Slovenia

Hi,

a Youth astronomical research camp was held from July 21 to 30 on the top
of Pohorje Mountain (excellent views in all directions). Thirty astronomy
enthusiasts from all over the country took part in this event. One of the
working groups dealt with meteors.
None of the nights in this period was clear from dusk until dawn.
Nonetheless we could observe almost every night.
On the first night I first installed a video meteor camera, then an allsky
camera and observed from 00:46 local time until dawn. Sixty meteors were
recorded in a bit less than 3 hours. The most active shower were the
Perseids with 12 members, followed by the Antihelion meteors with 4 and
Southern Delta Aquarids with 2 meteors.
The only bright meteor of the night was a magnitude -2. sporadic meteor at
01:13:06 UTthat left a 4-second train.
