Any idea about the FWHM?

Michel

With practically all meteors very bright and thus able to beat the
bright moonlight on Sep. 1 - that's what Peter Jenniskens reported
at the IAU GA in Prague today. The prediction of high rates (that
may as well exceed 1000/hr) is based on the modelling of the
trajectories of dust particles ejected from the comet in question
which in turn fits the three past outbursts of the Aurigids. But
this time we will hit - according to the model - the very center
of the dust cloud. All bets are off what'll happen then as this
has never been the case before. The time is 11:37 UTC +/- 20 min,
so Western California is favored. Wouldn't it be fun to hold the
International Meteor Conference there and in the same timeframe ...?
