Subject: VANMC 2-3/1/06

Hi,

First session in 2006 after a successful 2005. In 2005, I logged in total 3779 meteors during 45 sessions and 140.72 effective observing hours.

I saw the Quadrantids before work during a morning session on January 3th. The activity was quiet, containing many weak meteors. I observed one magnificent and very bright fireball on 3.58 UT through the constellations of Gemini, Cancer and the Lion. I estimated her on magnitude minus 10 ! Could my work year start in better way ?

3-4/1/05 was clouded out due to a frontal system with rain...

Clear skies,

Michel.
