<< >>>I wonder what our peers out there do to keep on the ball?

would actually *help* me wander off instead of keeping me alert.>
Hello,
I find the time signals held keep me awake, probably because
I also speak into a push-button mike each minute, repeating
the time signal. When reducing my tape the next day, if I find
verbal "minutes" missing, I know that I driffted off the sleep,
and subtract the missing time.
>It would be interesting to hear stories of wildlife encounters
from observers on the list!>
I once had what was possibly a bear encounter. Whatever
it was it was BIG, and made a lot of noise crashing around.
Every few minutes a had a "mad minute" and turned a bright
light on and swept around. I was alone, was up in the Northern
mountains of Pennsylvania. When we drove into the drive of
our hunting cabin that day, we flushed a small bear out.
That was also the night I saw a "crooked" meteor.
Clear skies,
Bob Young
