(meteorobs) Low radio meteor rates - Sporadic E?

Hi,

What receiving system are you using? Unless you say, how can we offer any
ideas about the problem? FM radio or Band 1 SSB mode tuned to TV carriers
with FFT software?

Hi all:

 This time last year between the 4-10th my rates were between 20-100/hr.
In 2004 they were similar. 2003 between mid teens to 40/hr. But this
year they
have been in low since the 4th single numbers, well, they were  in the
20-30's for
an hour or two yesterday.

The static at times sounds like an old train going "choo-choo" then is
more "crackly"
sounding.  Is this Sporadic E?
