I had a problem recently with a constant tone also, on
a channel 2 offset. I connected a tv video
demodulator I recently built to the IF output of my
radio and was shocked to see and hear channel 2 Kansas
City, 1500+ miles way! I couldn't hear any meteors
but the skip was very interesting.
