(meteorobs) 2005 video meteor data online

Dear friends,

I have been waiting for the last few 2005 observation of one observer. Since I
did not receive them so far, I put the actual version of the video meteor
database online. At http://www.metrec.org you may now download the data from
183,235 single station meteors collected by more than 20 observers in 2,087
observing nights between January 1993 and December 2005.

The position data is available in IMOs PosDat format, which can be evaluated by
software like Rainer Arlt's Radiant. An analysis of the full database is
currently under way. Results and the corresponding tools will be made available
within the next few months.

Beside the position data, the video meteor database contains images, detailed
information (positions, lightcurve, ...) and short animations of each meteor.
This data (27 GB) is made available of request on DVD.

Please feel free to use this database for your own analysis of meteor shower
activity and properties.
