Arlene and All,

Actually the best views will occur from western Europe and northwestern 
Africa. Unfortunately western Turkey is situated a bit too far east. The 
predicted maximum will occur just as you enter civil twilight with the sun 
six degrees below the southeastern horizon. You may be able to see some 
increasing Leonid activity in the brightening morning skies. Your best bet 
would be to view well before the onset of morning twilight on the 19th.
