I am not sure my report went through, so I am sending it again through
this reply.

 Meteor Observers,

I can say that the Leonid Meteor Shower of 2006 was the worst meteor
shower I have ever seen. The conditions were perfect Friday night and
Saturday morning the 17th and 18th and we had clear skies all night.
You couldn't ask for a better night. So I was ready for some Leonids.
I started watching around 03:00UT Nov. 18th and nothing but a few
Taurids and a sprinkling of 0-+2 Leonids. I observed until 09:00UT and
when it didn't look like the Leonids were going to roar, I gave up. I
can now say The Leonids have been my best meteor shower and now my
worst. The old memories of the Fireballs in 98 and the storm of 2001
where I saw over 2,000 Leonids that amazing morning in West Texas.
Lets just hope the Geminids will come through in December.
