This morning, I had planned for three hours but was clouded out after just
58 minutes of teff!! Nonetheless, it was certainly worth the effort as it
appeared the Orionids were continuing to put on an above-average display!
They were still bright ( I had a -6 at 7:44 UT) and rates were still well
above normal. I saw 23 Orionids dispite clouds that increasingly grew worse
until, at the end, i was gazing up through a small 50 x 50 degree hole.
Then things went completely overcast! I awake to a very strong rain a few
hours later.
Regardless of my final luck, the Orionids certainly have made themselves
perhaps *the* memorable shower of 2006!
