I observed Orionids from a remote site in Southern Oregon on the mornings of
October 20, 21 and 22. In brief, rates were very strong all three mornings.

On October 20, I observed for 2.75 hours (LM 6.8) from 1000-1300 UT and saw
111 Orionids and 43 other meteors. Orionids were very bright (mean magnitude
1.6) with 7 fireballs including a -8.

I had to work on October 21, so I planned just a short predawn watch in
order to get sufficient sleep. I observed for one hour (LM 7.1) from
1154-1256 UT and saw 74 Orionids and 24 other meteors. Again, Orionids were
very bright (especially considering the faint LM) with a mean magnitude of
1.5. Only 2 fireballs, though, with the brightest a -5.

On the morning of October 22, I observed for 1.5 hours (LM 7.1) from
1030-1203 UT and saw 101 Orionids and 31 other meteors. Orionids were
fainter this morning (mean magnitude 2.2), with the brightest meteors of -3.

Summary reports on their way at some point.
